The Jewish Farmers of Kerhonkson were not the first or the only to try their hand at farming the land.

Most of these farming communities were helped by the Baron de Hirsch Foundation,  these communities of new immigrants stretched from Canada to Brazil, Connecticut to Utah.  See some of them
